Enda Kenny was speaking as Fine Gael officially begins the new political term with its think-in in Newbridge.

The official theme of the event is improving the lives of citizens through next month's Budget - but it's been somewhat overshadowed by the uncertainty around John Halligan.

But the Taoiseach says he's not phased by any of the confusion, and that he's back in good humour.
