Students planning a J1 this summer are being advised that they will need to organise a job before they leave Ireland.

The Union of Students in Ireland says anyone intending to apply to the programme should get to know the new rules.

The USI is launching its J1 Guide today and says it's important students sign up early, so they have plenty of time of find work and accommodation.
