Jamaican author Marlon James has won the Man Booker Prize.

His novel A Brief History of Seven Killings is inspired by the attempted assassination of Bob Marley in the 1970s.

The book is set across three decades and contains more than 75 characters and 680-pages.

The 44-year-old author was presented with the 50-thousand pound prize money at a ceremony in London last night.
