Jimmy Kimmel has been taken off air after making comments about Charlie Kirk's death.
The American talk show host claimed on Monday's show that Donald Trump's supporters were using the shooting to score political points;
"We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterise this kid who murdered Charlie Kiri as anything other than one of them, and do everything they can to score political points from it."
Disney-owned ABC, the company behind the show, has described Kimmel's remarks as offensive and insensitive.
Charlie Kirk - a right-wing activist and close Trump ally - was shot dead in Utah last week.
The US president, who's currently on a unprecedented second state visit to the UK, welcomed the news on his Truth Social platform, writing "congratulations to ABC" and "Kimmel has ZERO talent".
But Kimmel's suspension has triggered outrage from Democrats, like California Governor Gavin Newsom;
Buying and controlling media platforms.
Firing commentators.
Canceling shows.
These aren’t coincidences.
It’s coordinated. And it’s dangerous.
The @GOP does not believe in free speech.
They are censoring you in real time.

It's unclear when 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' might return.
