US Secretary of State, John Kerry, has broken his leg after a cycling crash in the French Alps.

He came off his bike and has been flown by helicopter to nearby Geneva in Switzerland for treatment.

It's understood he's suffered a leg injury, and he's in a stable condition.

Kerry has been in Switzerland this weekend for talks on Iran's nuclear programme.

Doctors say he's expected to make a full recovery, but has cut short his European trip to return to the US.
