The legendary singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell has been rushed to hospital after an emergency call from her home in Los Angeles.

Celebrity website TMZ says the 71 year-old - whose hits include "Big Yellow Taxi" and "Both Sides Now" - says she's being treated in intensive care.
