The jury in the trial of a doctor accused of killing her profoundly disabled daughter has heard the distressing 999 call that was made the night the girl was found.

A note found the following day in the accused’s house has also been shown to the court today.

Bernadette Scully’s partner Andrius found 11 year old Emily cold in her bed on the night of the 15th September 2012.

He panicked and ran to tell Bernadette but couldn’t wake her up.

He then rang 999 and this distressing call was played to the jurors this afternoon.

In it - Andrius asks the ambulance to come quickly and says ‘’I think it’s very bad’’.

The court also heard earlier from a note found in the accused home the day after Emily passed away.

It read ’If anyone thinks I’m awful for doing this - you should have listened to poor little Emily crying the last eight days. I love her dearly'

It continued ‘’I don’t want to die but I cannot let Emily’s suffering continue. I can’t watch it any more.’’

The Prosecution has accused 58 year old Bernadette Scully of administering a toxic level of the sedative choral hydrate to her profoundly disabled daughter Emily.

She denies manslaughter and the case continues.
