Gardai are continuing to question two men after what's believed to have been an interception of a possible gangland shooting.

The two men in their thirties were arrested yesterday and guns and ammunitions were seized - the men are being held at separate Dublin garda stations.

Speaking this afternoon, the Minister for Justice Frances Fitzgerald has insisted that gardai have all of the resources they need in order to fight gangland crime:
