Justice Minister says Govt committed to legislating for Surrogacy

The Justice Minister is defending the Government's decision not to legislate for surrogacy before Friday's Marriage referendum.

Frances Fitzgerald says the coalition is committed to regulating the area, but says it's a separate issue.

But campaigners for a No vote say surrogacy is inextricably linked to the referendum, and the Government cannot pretend otherwise.
