Minister Alan Shatter is facing questions on what he knew and when - with reports that the Department of Justice was informed about the recordings two weeks ago, and a Garda Ombudsman report making it clear that illegal taping was highlighted at least nine months ago.

Minister Shatter who is fighting to save his political career will also address the Garda Inspectorate report on the mismanagement of the penalty points system

He'll preside over nearly six hours of Dail debates on the Garda inspectorate report into the penalty points affair - where he'll be expected to withdraw his claims that the two Garda whistleblowers had failed to co-operate with the internal investigation.
