Two weeks on from her murder Karen Buckley has made her final journey home.

The remains of the 24 year old arrived in Cork from Glasgow by a special Aer Lingus flight this afternoon.

In a gesture of support, the airline is understood to have paid for the bulk of the repatriation costs for the family.

21 year old Alexander Pacteau, is charged with the nurse's murder in Glasgow on the 12th of April and is also charged with attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
