The Sunday Independent is reporting that Karen Buckley's body will be flown to her native Cork this afternoon.

According to the paper Aer Lingus has provided a special plane and is understood to be footing the bulk of the repatriation costs for her grieving family.

A second post mortem on Karen's body took place in Glasgow on Friday revealing that the 24 year old died from head and neck injuries.

21 year old Alexander Pacteau, is charged with the nurse's murder on the 12th of April and is also charged with attempting to defeat the ends of justice.

It is alleged the murder was carried out at a flat in the Dorchester Avenue area of Glasgow.
