The Taoiseach has hit out at a budget proposal from one of his own Fine Gael ministers.
Enda Kenny says proposals for a lower tax rate for emigrants, proposed by Mary Mitchell O'Cononor, would be 'discriminatory and unfair'.
Mitchell O'Connor wants a 30% effective tax rate - instead of the usual 49.5% - for skilled emigrants earning over €75,000 a year, in an effort to entice them home.
Kenny's comments came after the Fianna Fáil leader dismissed the idea as "bananas".
