The Taoiseach says the delay caused by last week's bailout referendum has cost Greece dearly.
Enda Kenny admits the agreement - which must be passed by the Greek parliament - is 'very challenging' for Athens.
Last night, Greece missed another 456 million euro repayment to the IMF - and it must introduce a range of austerity measures if it's to secure a third bailout.
It's now €2 billion in arrears to the IMF, and will almost certainly be kicked out of the euro if it misses a repayment of €3.5 billion due to the ECB next Monday.
Opponents of the deal, however, have lashed out at the Irish government's role in forcing Greece into a deal that was harsher than the one rejected by its voters in a referendum barely a week earlier.
