Enda Kenny has refused to discuss his future as Fine Gael leader.

The Taoiseach refused to give details of his departure to Cabinet - and is also refusing to elaborate on his plans in the Dáil.

Opposition leaders this afternoon have asked for clarity on the Taoiseach's plans, which are due to be revealed at a Fine Gael meeting tomorrow night.

But Enda Kenny says there's no interruption to the work of government, and says everyone's focused on their jobs:

The matter was also not discussed at this morning's earlier meeting of Fine Gael ministers, though Charlie Flanagan did apologise to Simon Harris for his "Sunday afternoon banter" in FG's internal WhatsApp group.

Flanagan had claimed in the group that Harris was undecided on running but that Frances Fitzgerald was keen to support him.

Meanwhile Fianna Fáil has warned it will not continue to support the government if the leadership row becomes "a circus".

The party's described itself as "interested observers" in the Fine Gael debate, as its confidence and supply arrangement requires any outstanding conflicts to be sorted between the FG and FF leaders.

FF says it won't be able to continue supporting the government if it continues to mishandle issues like the Maurice McCabe controversy of the last two weeks.
