Rescue crews have worked through the night to try and reach a woman reported missing on a mountain in Kerry.

Personnel from Kerry Mountain Rescue have made contact with her, however they've been having some difficulty getting to her exact location on Mangerton Mountain.

The woman raised the alarm herself after she got lost while walking yesterday evening, and she isn't thought to be injured.

Weather conditions in the area have been poor overnight.
