A new study in Belfast's found children who experience 'regret' go on to make better decisions.
Queen's University Researchers say kids can feel the emotion from around the age of six, and if they do, they will then go on to make superior choices later in life.
They ran a 'Deal or No Deal' type test where children had to choose between boxes containing different amounts of stickers, ensuring that they always chose the box with the smaller amount.
Cruel or not cruel?
