A Kilkenny man has appeared in court in Belfast charged with the discovery of 650-thousand euro worth of cocaine at Belfast city airport.

On Sunday around ten kilos of the drug were recovered by the UK Border Force.

Today, a 30-year-old man from Kilkenny was charged with the illegal importation of a Class A drug.

He has been remanded in custody to appear again on May 31st.
