New research has shown that a shortage of shower facilities in the workplace is deterring employees from cycling or running to work.

Theshows that nearly four out of ten Irish employers offer a Bike-to-Work scheme for their staff.

However, only a quarter of firms provide showers for workers who want to cycle or run to work.
