Talks aimed at averting a train strike this Friday are underway at the Workplace Relations Commision.
However Union representatives say they're not hopeful that a rail strike scheduled for rush hour will be called off.
SIPTU, the NBRU and Irish Rail management entered talks at 2pm this afternoon - after 14 hours of talks yesterday achieved no major progress.

However Dermot O'Leary of the NBRU says management are not playing ball.
However Ciaran Masterson from Irish Rail is hopeful a deal can be reached.
