New laws to recognise the acquired gender of trans-sexual people will be published by the end of the year.

The Gender Recognition Bill will be the first law in Irish history to recognise people who have undergone gender reassignment.

The list also includes further changes to the insolvency regime, a redress scheme for Magdalene survivors, and laws to help clamp down on corporate tax avoidance.
