A group of internal human rights lawyers has raised concerns about the concentrated ownership of media outlets in Ireland.

The report, published by a group of left-wing MEPs, says too much media is owned or controlled by either RTE or the businessman Denis O'Brien, who owns radio stations including Today FM.

The authors reject claims that it would be legally impossible to force Mr O'Brien or other owners to sell media outlets.
