Once hailed as the way forward for some of the country's severely disadvantaged communities - before it suffered delays and setbacks - Limerick Regeneration is now to be boosted with one of the largest capital programmes in the State.
Two hundred and fifty three million euro will be pumped into the plan under a revised investment.
However, because of previous broken promises and delays, many residents in the four main regeneration areas in Limerick say they have lost hope in the project.
