Two students from a county Mayo school have created the first road and farm safety website for children, and it'Â’s already had 3 million hits.

They'’re among the winners of the Road Safety Authorities’ “Leading Lights in Road Safety” awards 2015 being handed out at Farmleigh in Dublin.

Another group of students from St Oliver’s Community College in Drogheda also won an award for getting pedestrian lights and other traffic calming measures put around their school, after a fellow student was seriously injured when he was hit by a car.
