One of the survivors of the Berkeley balcony collapse says her life has been changed forever by the tragedy.
22-year-old Aoife Beary spoke about her injuries yesterday at a State Assembly hearing in California to change building laws.
Aoife and her mother want greater transparency in the construction industry.
The Berkeley balcony collapse killed six students, five of whom were on J1 visas from Ireland - afterwards it was revealed that the balcony they died on had been built by a firm which paid out multi-millions for defects, that were never made public.
