Pensioners are being given an extra three euro a week in Budget 2016.

Also on the cards is the restoration of the Welfare Christmas bonus – at €173 for a single pensioner and €346 for a couple.

80 year old Sean Freeman from Tallaght thinks the extra 3 euro a week in pension payment will help him become a millionaire and he plans to fly to Australia in a couple of weeks. (He's not really. His tongue was firmly in his cheek).
