59 year old Tony Moloney - who hid his illiteracy for most of his life - says learning to read and write has changed his whole world.
Alan Hand from Abbeyleix is studying for his Leaving Cert at 38, after being out of work for the past three years.

The National Adult Learning Organisation, AONTAS, is holding a meeting of adult learners today in Dublin to discuss possible ways of improving the system.
