Irish Rail says it will not withdraw its Dumb truckers campaign which aims to raise awareness about the number of bridge strikes.
The company has been criticised by Road Hauliers who say the campaign is disparaging to lorry drivers.
68 bridges have been hit by a truck so far this year and Irish Rail says the issue causes significant disruption to passengers and can have a significant cost.
The Irish Road Haulage Association spoke to the Anton Savage Show today and said it is seeking legal advice over the issue. They claim there are not enough signs in place at bridge locations.
Irish Rail says all bridge heights are available on its website. Jane Cregan from the company says she stands over ever the campaign.
