The National Lottery is back up and running following an earlier glitch.

A technical issues caused both retail sales and online sales to stall for a time earlier but in a statement this afternoon the National Lottery say both are now fully operational.

Tonight's jackpot is €12 after it rolled over a number of times.

People can buy tickets before the 7.45pm deadline.

Last February, the National Lottery was forced to postpone its draw for 24 hours after a technical problem stopped ticket machines working.

Shop owners are reporting long queues and say they haven't received any notification about the fault from the National Lottery as yet.

This agent in south Dublin says queues are long and customers are getting annoyed.
