Luas operator warns of 'financial challenges' ahead

Passenger representatives say they've been forgotten in the midst of the row over pay at the Luas.

An all out strike now appears to be on the cards after Transdev and SIPTU failed to break the deadlock at last ditch talks yesterday.

The union says they've been told - that pay deductions and temporary lay-offs may be used as a possible way to recoup losses sustained from repeated strikes.

In a statement Trasdev says the company is facing financial challenges as a result of the action and there are 'serious consequences' of this dispute continuing
