The next phase of the Luas Cross City works gets underway tonight and major disruption can be expected.

All stops on the Luas Red Line between Abbey Street and the Point will be suspended until the end of July.

There will be a replacement bus service eastbound between Bachelors Walk and Castleforbes Road and in the opposite direction between Mayor St Upper and Crampton Quay on the South Quays.

At the same time, Abbey Street will also be closed to traffic between Jervis St and O'Connell St and diversions will be in place.

If you travel by Luas or drive on the northside you can expect major disruption for the next two months.
