Three people have been arrested in Dublin following a €1.6 million drugs seizure.

A vehicle was stopped and searched on Conyingham Road in Islandbridge yesterday.

Heroin and cocaine were discovered and a 45-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

During a follow up search at a house in Ballyfermot more of the class A drugs were discovered as well as cannabis herb.

A 24-year-old man and a woman aged 21 were arrested.

All three are being held at Lucan and Finglas Garda stations.
