A man (20s) has been arrested following a major drug seizure in Dublin.

Cocaine with an estimated value of €1.5 million was discovered following the planned search of a property on Rathmines Road yesterday.

The man is being detained at Rathmines Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Separately in Cork customs seized 14,000 cigarettes at Cork Airport.

The goods, worth almost €8,000, were concealed in the luggage of two Lithuanian men who arrived on a flight from Tenerife.

The two men were arrested and are being held at Togher Garda Station.
