Majority of cars fail NCT for Lighting and electrical faults

New statistics from the Road Safety Authority reveal the make of car that's most likely to pass the NCT.

Out of over a million cars tested in 2013 the most reliable proved to be the Toyota Auris.

The statistics revealed to the Irish Sun under Freedom of Information show lighting and electrical faults are the most common reasons for cars failing the test.

Toyotas made up the top three 2007 registered models.

The oldest car to be tested, a 1929 Ford, also passed.
