Four out of five workers who experience sexual harassment at work don't report it to their boss, according to a new survey.

Research from the Irish Congress of Trade Unions shows that one-in-five reports of sexual harassment happened at work-related social events.

The survey shows that two in five members had received unwelcome verbal sexual advances and more than a third had experienced unwanted touching.

A third have been subject to unwelcome questions or comments about their sex life.

54 percent have been subject to unwelcome jokes of a sexual nature.

Two percent of all respondents reported being seriously sexually assaulted or rape at work, of which five respondents said that this occurred within the past 12 months.
