A male cyclist in his 30s has died in a crash in Dublin this afternoon.

The man was seriously injured in a collision between his bike and a car on Conyngham Road at approximately 2.15pm.

He was taken to St. James Hospital where he later died.

The driver of the car, a woman in her 40s, received minor injuries.

The scene of the collision remains closed this evening and diversions are in place.
