A 28 year-old man is beginning a life sentence this evening for the murder of a 27 year-old woman and her eight year-old daughter in Killorglin last year.
Aurimas Andruska, with an address at 7 Ardmoniel Heights, Killorglin had pleaded not guilty to the murder of Jolanta Lubiene and Enrika Lubyte at their home at 9 Langford Downs in the town in June 2013.
He was found guilty of the double murder by a jury of seven women and five men this afternoon at the Tralee sitting of the Central Criminal Court.
Mr Justice Patrick McCarthy sentenced Aurimas Andruska to life imprisonment on both counts with the sentences to run concurrently.
