A man and a woman have been killed in a two car crash in Co. Tipperary.

It happened on the main Limerick to Waterford Road, near Limerick Junction at around half past seven.

The drivers of both cars - a man in his 80s and a woman in her 40s - were pronouced dead at the scene.

Their bodies have now been removed to South Tipperary Hospital in Clonmel.
