A massive manhunt is underway in North County Dublin after an abduction and robbery this morning.
An armed gang raided the Bayside Post Office in Sutton after taking 3 women at gunpoint.
One man has been arrested and Gardai and members of the Emergency Response Unit are continuing to search for 2 others.
This incident began in the early hours of this morning when 3 armed and masked men burst into the home of the Bayside postmistress in Malahide in North County Dublin.
3 women were abducted and driven to the Post Office at Bayside in Sutton.
The men left the post office a short time later in a dark coloured car with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Some time later Gardai and members of the Emergency Response Unit stopped a car on the Malahide Road and arrested a man in his early 20s. A number of shots were discharged by Gardaí at this scene.

Gardaí are still searching for two other men who are described as follows:
- Late 40s/ early 50s, grey white hair, chubby build, 5 10 in height wearing dark leggings and similar top
- Late 40s/ early 50s, chubby build, dark grey hair, wearing blue runners with a green stripe. Both men spoke with Dublin accents.
The three women were not injured in the incident but Gardai say they have been through a traumatic experience. They are appealing to the media to respect their privacy.
Gardai have set up an incident room at Coolock Station. Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
