A man has been arrested by Gardaí investigating a shooting in Newcastlewest, Co Limerick yesterday in which two people were injured.
The shooting happened in the Castleview Estate at about half past three yesterday afternoon - when a lone gunman fired at the man and woman before fleeing the scene.
A 25-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of this morning.
He's being questioned at Newcastlewest Garda Station under Section 30, Offences Against the State Act - where he can be held for up to three days.
