A man in his 50s has been arrested following the discovery of drugs worth €200,000 in County Mayo.

Gardaí carried out a search of a house in The Neale, Ballinrobe yesterday were they found 261 cannabis plants at various stages of growth.

They also recovered various items of drugs paraphernalia.

A man in his 50s was arrested at the scene and is currently being held at Castlebar Garda Station.
