A man has been arrested after cannabis was found in Co Wicklow.

€60,000 worth of cannabis herb was discovered when Gardai did a routine speed check on the M11 at Ashford.

The drugs were found in the back of a black ford focus which was seized under Section 41 of Road Traffic Act.

A man in his late 40s was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained at Wicklow Garda Station.
