Gardaí investigating the deaths of two brothers in Castlebar, Co Mayo, this morning have arrested a 26-year-old man.
He was arrested in the town this evening and is being held at Castlebar Garda Station.
The bodies of the two brothers, aged 68 and 70, were found at their house on New Antrim Street this morning.
A home help assistant who looked after the men alerted Gardai at around 7am.
Gardaí in Mayo say their investigation is continuing.
Speaking earlier to MidWest Radio, Superintendent David Taylor said no resource would be spared.
