Gardai have arrested a man in relation to an incident that occurred at Terrace Place in Dublin yesterday evening.

At around 25 past 7 last night, a taxi driver was robbed when a man travelling in the taxi allegedly produced a firearm and demanded cash.

He then left the scene on foot.

The 31 year old was arrested and is currently detained at Mountjoy Garda Station.

Investigations are ongoing.
