A 58-year-old man has been arrested in Belfast in connection with the abduction and murder of Jean McConville.
The PSNI says the suspect has been taken to Antrim's Serious Crime Branch for questioning.
Jean McConville - who was a mother of ten - was abducted from her home at the Divis Flats in West Belfast in 1972 and murdered by the IRA.
Her body was eventually found on a beach in Co Louth eleven years ago.
