A 22-year-old man has been arrested by Gardaí investigating the murder of a taxi driver in County Louth last year.

The body of Martin Mulligan (53) was found at Carnmore just outside Dundalk in the early hours of the 28th of September.

He had been stabbed to death.

This evening a man was arrested in connection with his murder.

He is being held at Dundalk Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and can be held for up to 24 hours.
