Police in Ferguson in Missouri say they have filed charges against a man in connection with the shooting of two police officers there last week.
They say the 20-year-old suspect claims he fired the shots in a dispute with other individuals and didn't aim at police.
A 32-year-old officer was shot in his cheek, just below his right eye, with the bullet lodging behind his ear and a 41-year-old officer was shot in his right shoulder, with the bullet exiting his body through his back.
St Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said afterwards that the two were lucky to have survived.
St. Louis County prosecuting attorney Robert McCulloch says the investigation is ongoing.
