A British man's appeared in a US court accused of trying to grab a police officer's gun in a bid to kill Donald Trump.

Michael Sandford was charged with an act of violence on restricted grounds after a rally for the presidential hopeful in Las Vegas on Saturday.

The 20 year-old, who'd moved to the US 18 months ago and was living in New Jersey, has been denied bail.
