A man remains critically ill in hospital after he was assaulted in Swords, Co Dublin, yesterday afternoon.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the brutal assault which involved the use of baseball bats, on Swords Main Street at twenty past twelve.
Another man was arrested and is being held at Coolock Garda Station.
Both men are understood to be members of the Nigerian community.
