A man and his two children have been injured after being hit by lightning near a school in Lisburn, Co Antrim.

The Dad and his son are in a critical condition in hospital while the girl is said to be seriously ill.

It is understood the man had been collecting the children from school in the Lauren Hill area when the incident happened.

They are being treated at Lagan Valley and Royal Belfast Hospitals for burn injuries.
